Now as you read this, remember it is advise from a crook!
From Viva San Carlos,
"Someone said that police do nothing. I think that is not true. The police have their place and they cannot just go around arresting people because they don't like their looks.
Many of us have the very badly founded idea that police cases are a 60 minute program. Friends, it is real life, not like the movies or TV.
What do many want, for the police group to get to the broken-into house and dust for fingerprints. Then what? Now they have the prints, then are they going to electronically compare them with the bad guy print collection they have in Empalme?
Sincerely, all that is happening is petty theft. Just keep your valuables to a minimum and in a safe place and your life here will be better. There are good and secure ways to inmobilize ATVs, banks have security boxes.
It makes me smile to read about the belt buckles. Yes, maybe they will appear at a swap meet and if they are worth anything, at a pawn shop but maybe the way to go is with $10.00 belts. Ok, so you find them, then what?
Mexico has lots of poor people. Many are poor but they are honest and God fearing, a few are rotten apples. This happens everywhere."
