Just heard from a friend that the Vivasancarlos board is publishing 300 peso buy in for Poker? They are going to send me the post and the same people who are saying that we should remember we are guests in Mexico are stating that it is okay to break the laws of Mexico about gambling?

Maybe the moderator would care to translate article number 4 and article 13 section 1 and 2 http://www.diputados.gob.mx/LeyesBiblio/pdf/109.pdf

The thread about the poker game seems to have vanished.

Many things vanish on vivasancarlos. Think everyone is afraid to post for fear of being banned
Yes, because Rick the owner of Marina Cantina posted that there was no gambling or scheduled games there. Don't know as I cannot read or post, just heard this from friends.
Guess he read the law and reallized that his license and business was at risk,as well as his patrons, even those not playing.
I believe that Mel also posted that there was no gambling? Well, what have they been doing with a 300 pesos buy in?
Come on people let's be honest.

Just found this on Bart's board from Rick
There has been some talk on the message boards about a Texas Hold em Poker game at the Marina Cantina on Sunday's. Just to set the record straight to the public and the Liquor authorities, THERE IS NO GAMBLING ALOWED AT THE MARINA CANTINA WHATSOEVER ON SUNDAYS OR ANY OTHER DAY FOR THAT MATTER AND ANYONE SUGGESTING ANY SUCH SORT OF ACTIVITIES IS TALKING OUT OF WHERE THE SUN DOESN'T SHINE. ANY PERSONS CAUGHT GAMBLING ON THESE PREMISES WILL BE THROWN OUT IMMEDIATELY!!!!!!!!!! RICK

Yes, no trace of posting re Texas Holdum posted on the Gadsby vivasancarlos website, with a 300 peso buy in, but we all know that it was posted many times on this website and played there many times until Rick realized that it was not legal and he could lose everything and everyone could be arrested, even if they were not partaking in the game.
There is a casino in Guaymas where possibly gambling at Texas Holdum could be accomplished legally?

That's a good question, what does happen to the buy in money? Does it buy milk and cookies for the orphans, is there a little mordida slipped to the owner of the Marina Cantina, or is it given back to the players when the game is finished. If there's no gambling then why have a buy in?

There appears to be some heavy duty CYA going on at VSC since it was brought the their attention that gambling is illegal for the most part.

Smart ass George might have had a moment to reflect on his doings and decided that he only runs the board but doesn't run San Carlos.

Then there's Mel who chimes in behind the owner of the cantina and says this guy would never do anything like allow gambling in or near his place.

Talk about kissing ass and sucking hind tit. I wouldn't be surprised if the actions and comments of some of those ass kissers of George's, and George, aren't being closely monitored by someone with just a little more clout than them.
